Geoff Surratt’s life cycle model still has legs, but it’s definitely showing an institutional bias. It’s an unquestioned assumption that church health can be measured by attendance and donations. Also, Geoff suggests that a church is ready to send out a church planter after the church reaches maturity.
God won’t entertain that kind of delay just to include his family in his kingdom work. He’ll simply raise up other workers from the harvest to continue the kingdom advance.
