The Problem with Church Buildings

Geoff Surratt exposes some practical drawbacks to a church owning a building:

"Think about it. Who is putting the biggest pressure on you to get a permanent facility? Is it the guy whose life was a complete disaster until he found Jesus at your church, or is it the family who moved over from 1 st Church because 'they just weren’t being fed'?"

Geoff makes the case that the money spent on a building is money that could be spent on ministry instead. Speaking of freeing up money for ministry, I wonder if he's got a follow up series called "The Problem with Paid Church Staff."
